Arts for Our Children

"Arts for Our Children", the nonprofit arm (501(C)(3) of the Davis Center sponsors numerous special activities throughout the year, which provide opportunities for the students to have fun, fellowship, and broaden their exposure to dance and other arts. Examples include our annual Nutcracker trip, Black History Month dance programs, field trips to major theaters, master classes with guest artists, attending at Cecchetti student conferences (locally & in Michigan), "Nutrition for Dancers Day", Annual Spring Concert, Annual National
Tap Dance Day Celebration, Annual Liturgical Service.

the Davis Center students perform for numerous organizations and at local, national and international events. Among them are Delta Sigma Theta Sorority's Annual Fashion Show, WDC Continentals 50th Anniversary Celebration, Soldiers Home, White House Egg Roll and Coalition of Black Trade Unionists' National Convention in Atlanta, Georgia. The students have traveled to Senegal, West Africa to study with the Ballet de Senegal and to perform for school children and citizens of the villages.
